Merlin the magis came back to prevent the downfall of Britain. The power of the holy sword will enable its master to unit the kingdom. It is fixed in a stone and can only be taken out by the true king. Merlin chooses Artus who pulls the sword out. Artus forms the realm of the knights of the round table. And there is peace throughout the country.
Life goes by easily until Morgain the evil sister of Artus gives birth to Mordred.
Artus is searching for the holy grail which would bring eternal peace to the land. Lanzelot arrives at the court. Artus charges him with the task of finding the grail. Everybody, even the queen was fascinated by Lanzelot.
The fearfull but brave Mordred comes to Camelot to announce that he ist he "nephew" of Artus. After a confrontation with Gawein Mordred kills him for which he is bunished.
To disrupt the peace Morgain slips love potion into the drinks of Queen Ginevra and Lanzelot which locks them into internal togetherness. Soon everybody comes to know of this secret love affair.
While Lanzelot is searching for the grail Artus discovers this betrail. Although he forgives her it is his duty as king to have her burnt at the stake. As the flames reach her she is dramaticly rescued by Lanzelot.
During a battle Artus and Mordred come face to face. As Mordred is distracted by the arrival of his mother at the battlefield, Artus delivers the faital blow. Morgain cries: "Artus, my brother, you killed your own son". The dying Mordred reaches up and pushes his spear into Artus, killing him.
In the eerie silence that follows we see a lonely figure walking through the battlefield. It is Merlin, he has come to see the dead king. Then something miraculous happens...
